Afra Eisma – Splashdown Tender

Dutch artist Afra Eisma’s first monograph, ‘Splashdown Tender’ builds on her immersive practice, offering a vessel filled with doodles, emotions, soft conversations, and friendships. Eisma is known for creating immersive, interactive installations with large-scale tapestries and colourful ceramics. Bright hues and playful approaches are a recurring theme, which the artist employs in her engagement with darker emotions and experiences, in turn creating space for anger, ambiguity, reflection, and more. The book presents an extensive overview of Eisma’s body of work over a five-year period.
