Multiple material and cultural itineraries converge in the graphic work of atelier R2: Lizá Defossez Ramalho and Artur Rebelo. This exhibition suspends production to display the interferences of the archive, the landscape, the transmission, the matter and the production in the invention of their project of visual communication.
It suspends production to show R2’s contribution for the consolidation of an extended field of independent production, and the way they build fellowships, connections and differences with national and international cultural institutions. It suspends production to investigate their memories and affections, the hybrid connections they establish between the plane of images and the folds of the world, the way they appropriate the noise of communication, how they manipulate the shapes which letters are made off, or the way they write on the matter of buildings.
It suspends production to reflect on the gestures, the rituals and the stories of visual communication which are obliterated by the final result. It suspends the erosion of the many forms of writing produced by reading, to production new etymologies of saying and other ways of writing with shapes. It suspends production to install a creative pause, a brief silence to improvise an utterance without a throat, a voice to listen with a look, and invent new sequences and other futures.
It suspends production to experiment, in a laboratorial way, on the processes of construction and transformation of design, the field of references, the physical and conceptual space of action and the constructive processes of communication. It suspends to reveal the grammar of shapes and the transformation of tools as well as objects.
It suspends production to enact the multiple itineraries and hyperlinks between ideas, images, horizons and ways of looking.

Múltiplos itinerários materiais e culturais convergem no trabalho gráfico dos R2: Lizá Defossez Ramalho e Artur Rebelo. Esta exposição suspende o fabrico para apresentar as interferências do arquivo, da paisagem, da transmissão, da matéria e da produção na invenção do seu projecto de comunicação visual.
Suspende o fabrico para mostrar o contributo dos R2 na consolidação de um campo alargado de produção independente, construindo cumplicidades, ligações e diferenças com instituições culturais nacionais e internacionais.
Suspende o fabrico para investigar as suas memórias e afectos, as relações híbridas que estabelecem entre o plano das imagens e as dobras do mundo, a apropriação do ruído da comunicação, a manipulação das formas de que são feitas as letras, ou a maneira como escrevem na matéria dos edifícios.
Suspende o fabrico para reflectir sobre os gestos, os rituais e as histórias da comunicação visual obliterados pelo resultado final. Suspende a erosão das formas da escrita que a leitura produz para fabricar novas etimologias do dizer e outras maneiras de escrever com as formas. Suspende o fabrico para instalar uma pausa criativa, um breve silêncio para improvisar uma fala sem garganta, uma voz para ouvir com o olhar, e inventar novas sequências e outros futuros.
Suspende o fabrico para experimentar, de maneira laboratorial, com os processos de construção e transformação do design, com o campo de referências, com o espaço físico e conceptual das acções e com os processos construtivos dos exercícios de comunicação. Suspende para revelar as gramáticas das formas e a transformação das ferramentas e dos objectos de trabalho.
Suspende o fabrico para encenar os múltiplos itinerários e as hiperligações entre as ideias, as imagens, os horizontes e os modos de olhar.
